- Microsoft board members get raise. I want this gig. Board members who don't work at Microsoft just got their compensation raised from about $158K to $200K annually in cash and stocks. Hey, this blog is a ton of work, I totally deserve a board membership. Hello? Hello? (Source: StatesmanJournal)
- IE 7 beta code leaked. Not such a big surprise, but the latest MS IE 7 beta code got leaked. Considering they already had an open alpha, this really shouldn't hurt anyone. (Source: Red Herring)
- IBM luvs AOL and Yahoo. Big Blue announced that it was going to make its Lotus SameTime instant messaging client compatible with AIM and Yahoo Messenger. Could swear they announced this last year, but Forbes wouldn't have missed that. Would they? (Source: Forbes)
- Supreme Court denies RIM. BlackBerry's latest appeal was soundly denied by the Supreme Court, which means a BlackBerry service outage is imminent. Sadly, the Supreme Court was evaluating the decision based on whether US patent law is out of date. The fact that they don't think so bodes ill. Hey, if you supreme legal guys are reading, it definitely is. But who am I kidding? If you rendered that decision, you probably don't know what a blog is let alone how to read one. (Source: MSNBC)
- Google News in production. If you're still working off the Google News beta, then check out the just-released production version, which apparently has a bunch of new features, including a personalized headline search. (Source: InfoWorld)
